Koh Pha Ngan is situated in the Southern Gulf of Thailand,
100km from Suratthani, the district centre. Koh Samui has an international
airport that receives flights from all over Thailand and Asia. Koh
Pha Ngan is a 15km boat journey from Koh Samui with ferries all day.
Had Chao Phao is one of the premier beaches on Koh Pha Ngan. Located
on the sunset side of the island, it is sheltered from the elements,
giving the locatlity the clearest and dryest microclimate in the
region.
Had Chao Phao and Had Yao are the only beaches on the West of the
island that allow for year round swimming due to the seasonal low
tides. Both beaches are also renowned for their beautiful live coral
reefs and excellent diving.
The site meets the beach road on Had Chao Phao that leads to Had
Yao and Thong Sala. There is access to all services including telephone,
electricity and purified metered water.
The nearby village Sri Thanu has shops, restaurants and bars within
easy walking distance (1km). The main port of Thong Sala is ten
minutes drive away on a flat concrete road.
